Summary of role:   The core UI team in the firm which is responsible for the firm's best UI work (Information Architecture, Useability Engineering, Graphics Design and UI Development) is looking to find an industry leading IA/UX Architect to take a hands on, lead role in an organization of 34 people.  Person will initially be responsible for team of 5-7 people and this number is expected to grow steadily.   Position will have responsibility for meeting with business users and business stake holders for requirements gathering as well as project planning, team leadership.  Person must have successful track record of developing high-fidelity wireframes for large, complex, user & customer facing applications.   This position will be responsible for the whole product, not just IA.   Thus, person will be responsible for for leading all involved in developing a finished UI Product, including Information Architects, Visual Designers and UI Developers.       In total, person must be excellent hands-on Information Architect with experience developing wireframes for large, robust, interactive front-ends while also being a competent team and project leader while also being able to effectively interface with end-users and business stake holders, not just for business requirements but for business development to expand the services being delivered by your team and your larger organization.

Join a team of 34 user experience analysts in an internal consultancy, working on highly interactive applications for a leading Financial Services company.

Role Description
The User Experience Analyst / Information Architect (IA) will research, plan, design and document user interfaces for web-based, hand-held, and desktop applications.  

The ideal candidate
- Is detail-oriented
- Has excellent communication, presentation, and client management skills
- Is comfortable with the User Centered Design process and looks for ways to improve it
- Understands and has opinions about current industry best practices
- Is experienced with designing transactional user interfaces
- Balances an academic interest in best practices with tactical solutions
- Desires to define innovative solutions and publish in industry forums
- Wants to develop a design pattern library
- Manages client expectations and own time efficiently
- Enjoys collaborating with product owners and business analysts to design solutions

The IA will be responsible for
- User research
- Personas
- Feature maps & prioritization
- Sitemaps
- Wireframes
- Functional specifications (or annotated wireframes)
- User testing

Required Qualities
Minimum 5 years of experience working as an user experience professional

Desired Qualities
Experience with Web application design (AJAX / FLEX technologies)
Experience with interactive agency
Good writing skills
Financial Services industry experience

A portfolio and sample work must be reviewed before an interview will be scheduled
