Server Side Java Developer (Web Environment)
Financial Company/ NYC

Leading Investment Bank in Midtown Manhattan is looking to hire an
Mid-Level Server Side Core Java Developer.  Opening is with a team
which develops infrastructure for all Web UI's in company.
Position will focus on server side core Java development in Web / Web
Services Environment.  Person must have strong server side core Java
and be comfortable with collections framework within Java as well as
Spring, Concurrency and Threading.  Knowledge of Servlet API is a big
plus.  Other pluses (not required): restless services with JAX-RS and
JAX-WS.
Position will also participate in front end development  as secondary
responsibility with JSP, Javascript (EXTJS and jQuery Frameworks) and
Flex.   It is okay if person is light on WEB UI development, but at
least some experience is required.
Team is looking for an experienced developer, but somewhat open to
level of seniority - could be person with just 1-2 years of
professional experience with very strong academic credentials in
computer science, but 3-7 yrs of experience is likely to work better.
The team has challenging work to offer more senior developers with
more than 7 yrs of experience, but this will be a team member level
role reporting to a team/project lead.
