Analyst Level, 90-110K base +bonus

Summary:   Development team is looking to add mid level Java developer to the team, ideally 5-10 yrs exp.   Must have strong Java in Web Based Dev environment, SQL and ideally some Business Intelligence (Business Objects) or Data Warehousing exp.   Financial experience is NOT required.

Developer within the Web Portal Services - Usage Analytics (UA) team, responsible for the enterprise UA platform delivering client analytics & portal usage analytics metrics. The platform provides canned as well as adhoc analysis and reporting on top of a data warehouse environment leveraging web & BI technologies. The platform delivers critical MIS to gain insight into how the Firm's assets (client portals, software applications and tools) are utilized which is essential for increasing client satisfaction, optimizing resources, identifying trends and providing actionable business intelligence. In addition, the team supports a suite of integrated Portal Services applications. 

Responsible for full life cycle development of new and existing applications and components.
Work as a team player in a global development group participating in requirements and data analysis, design as well as development.
Communicate and collaborate between the infrastructure, development  and business groups.
Strong communication skills, self-motivated and capable of working in a dynamic environment that demands multi-tasking.
Person Requirements
Basic Qualifications 
B.S. degree in computer science or related field with emphasis on technology.
Four + years of experience in Java programming with experience in data warehouse environment, design, code, and implementation of MIS reporting solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hands on experience with J2EE,  design and implementation, including writing unit test cases, and delivering quality code.
Knowledge of XML and schema design and validation techniques.
Strong core Java (JDBC, collections, threading knowledge, OO concepts).
Strong SQL skills with Stored Procedure knowledge.
Experience working in UNIX environment - knowledge of shell scripts
Knowledge of relational database techniques, data warehouse concepts & architecture - Oracle or UDB
Overall understanding of web architectures
Working knowledge of BI technologies like Business Objects and OLAP is a plus.
Knowledge of advanced JavaScript is a plus.
Candidate should be able to diagnose problems quickly and independently.
Sharp, quick, aggressive ability to deal with business and system problems
Strong communication skills and willingness to learn new technologies & applications a must!
Working knowledge/experience in financial industry is a plus.
