Summary:   The dedicated Unix Infrastructure team for the Credit Derivatives business of the Investment bank is looking to add a member to the team.   They're open to hiring a promissing junior level person with as little as 2-3 years of professional experience or a more experienced senior level team member who can hit the ground running.   Person must have good coding skills in Perl and/or Shell but ideally both.   Must also have some experience with SQL, but he more the better and would ideally have experience with Autosys.   Interpersonal fit is just as important as technical fit - person must be team player with good interpersonal / communication skills.    This team spends more time on engineering, upgrading and automating the envrionment than anything else, but support is also a responsibility and they group of 8 shares that responsibility with a rotation which requires on-call responsibilities about one every two months.   Full spec below.  

Position Description:
The Credit Trading Operations team provides direct day to day support and integration services for the firm's credit derivatives trading platform.
Members of the team provide real time support for the credit derivatives trading system throughout the day. The team additionally executes all deployment work, is responsible for capacity planning, performs general integration work, infrastructure management, stability management and has complete ownership of all infrastructure, batch processing and downstream data delivery. The team works closely with the credit derivatives development team to ensure a smooth delivery of services to its users. The role involves direct interaction with traders, sales, operations and controllers as well as other technology groups involved in all aspects of electronic trading, trade capture and risk management.

- SQL, shell scripting, perl scripting
- Proven ability to deliver improvements to supported systems
Desired Skills:
- Hands-on support experience with front office applications and infrastructure
- Exposure to derivatives trading applications
- Familiarity with credit derivatives and bonds
- Development experience in any programming language
