Work closely with a trading group in Asia to develop fast and elegant tools for high frequency, low latency trading systems. Because this group trades the Asian markets, you will be working 5:30 pm to 1 am.

Position Description:
A position for a highly-proficient developer has become available in the FX Options development team. This unit within the bank is poised for growth and expansion. This is a global team with development centers in New York, London, Hong Kong. The candidate will be focused on the development, enhancement and support of the FX Options trading applications, with responsibility for full life cycle development including requirement gathering from the business, design, implementation, testing and deployment of enhancements and new applications. The position requires excellent theoretical and practical development knowledge and a strong OO understanding. The candidate must be a highly motivated, enthusiastic team player with passion for building rich user interface applications and an extensive use of tiered technology. The candidate must be able to function with light supervision and be able to carry out the tasks necessary to deliver quality solutions to the business. Excellent communication skills are required. You will interact with internal clients such as, trading, quants, sales, technology and client operations groups as well as colleagues in New York and Hong Kong. Experience working with a trading desk, especially FX Options, is highly desirable. The team operates 24 hours out of 3 locations handing over to each other throughout the day.

Skills Required:
Java and/or C++
Good knowledge of OO A&D 
Knowledge of XML and related technologies 
RDBMS and SQL knowledge
Basic knowledge of Linux ( basic shell script, grep, cat, ls )
Experience of full software development life cycle

Skills Desired:
Knowledge or familiarity of FIX 
•FX Options product/business knowledge 
•Development experience within a front office/real time trading environment
